30 days of painting from life using my phone for Pleinairpril.
I wanted to push away from the compositions, palettes, and tools that I naturally gravitated towards and got interesting results. I made a randomizer on google sheets that shuffled my tools/colors for each day of the month, which I stuck with it most of the way. My two biggest takeaways were considering a hue's inherent value as you move through color space, and how the way and order that I thought through design/color/edges would change depending on what the day's tools were, which says a lot for how fluid my and maybe others' workflows can be.

All work was painted from life on my Samsung Note 8 phone using #HEAVYPAINT by @HEAVYPOLY

This post is for #PleinAirpril, organized by @warriorpainters and supported by @blickartmaterials @procreate @strada.easel @huiontablet @winsorandnewton @heavypaintapp @cottonwoodartsbook @schoolismlive @gallerynucleus
